Mr Pitiful was found August 2010 wandering out on BLM land near the Canyon/Payette County line. He was severely undernourished and dehydrated with terribly outgrown feet.  After lots of TLC, a vet and farrier visit, he was on the road to recovery.

Tom Johnson & Wendy Burrows-Johnson of Wilder adopted Mr Pitiful on 3/5/11 and have given him a second chance
at having a great life and home.

This little guy had been running in the neighborhood for months. We finally caught up with him and he is now living with his new dad, Harold McEwen of Fruitland.

Blondie (Nutmeg) is approx a year old and loves to play.  She's great with other dogs and prefers to be outside. She loves the water too! She's very affectionate and willing to please.
Blondie (Nutmeg) looks like she's a German Shepard Mix (Akita or Chow?),   is about 25-30 lbs and should be a small to medium sized dog.

Hank (Luke) was found running along the Payette River and was very hungry when found! He now has a great new home with lots of space to call his own!
MOCHA HAS A NEW HOME
Mocha is a 10-12 week old Chihuahua/Dachsund mix. She's got the best of both breeds and a sweet little personality to match! She's very loving and gets along well with other dogs (she really likes the big dogs) She's only about 4 pounds or so but don't let her small size fool you ~ she's tenacious and has a cute little voice!

This little guy was seen running around New Plymouth High School for about a week. He was finally caught and brought to All Creatures Animal Hospital as he had what appeared to be a broken leg. The vet says the leg had been broken in the past and has since healed over. He's a Chihuahua young adult male and only 4lbs 10oz. The vet says without any body fat, he wouldn't have survived outside for another week in these cold temperatures. He is currently staying at our Rescue where he is being fed special food to help put a little weight on him and staying warm & snuggly!

Blackie was found wandering around Black's Bridge in New Plymouth on
Dec 13th. He was cold and hungry, but otherwise in good shape.  He looks like a cross between a Lab and a Chihuahua, but whatever breed he is, he's loveable and affectionate, crate trained, appears to be housebroken and gets along well with other dogs.
Blackie has a new mom and two new brothers,Buddy & Bobby Ray!

MAX HAS BEEN ADOPTED 1/14/12
Well exactly one year and one month ago, we rescued Max; a little black lab pup that was maybe close to a year old, scared, skinny and covered in ticks. In the year that we've had him, he's tripled his size (now 75lbs) and he's learned to sit, stay, shake, and can walk on a leash like a gentleman, when he wants to.... today the Loree family adopted our little Max. Congratulations to the Loree family for giving Max a loving new home with children to play with and care for! Have a wonderful life, Max....

I for one will miss you tremendously!

Velcro may have found his forever home...
Velcro looks like a Shiba Inu, however his exact breed is unknown. He's approx a 1yr old male, neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and micro chipped.  He's great with other dogs, cats and children.  Velcro needs a fenced in yard where he can burn off his energy. He's very loving  and would like nothing more than to spend the day with you.  He is crate trained and walks on a leash very well.
Velcro was adopted on March 3rd by the Gubenya family of Nampa! Congratulations to all of you for giving this loving little guy a second chance!
Maggie finds her loving forever home...
Maggie was found dodging cars on Hwy 30 in New Plymouth on 1/6/12.  Maggie is an intact adult Beagle, very loving and affectionate, housebroken, and has a very calm disposition.

Maggie was adopted on 2/4/12 by Vicky Andrews of Ontario, Oregon.  Our deepest thank you for opening your home and your heart to this deserving Beagle!
BRUTUS HAS FOUND A NEW HOME
Brutus had been hiding in a field and running irrigation ditches with Micah for a couple of weeks and we finally caught them on 1/22/12
He's a young intact male and looks like he could maybe be a pug/lab mix and has a curly tail!  He seems to get along with most other dogs and he can be a very loving little guy!

Brutus was adopted on 4/1/12 by Lonnie Rae of Payette. Thank you for giving him a second chance!



Jake Elliot and Bruiser have found their new forever homes!

They are about 8 weeks old and weigh approx 14 lbs each! Both boys will be large dogs and are socializing very nicely. They are very playful and love being with humans!

Red Annie has found a new home!
This little gal was found on Sunset Road in Fruitland on 12/2/11. She's looks to be a pure bred Red/Rust Doberman and appears to be full grown. She has had her tail cropped and dew claws removed and her ears are not cropped.  She's very gentle and loving, housebroken and great with children.  She sits, lays down, and shakes on command!  She loves to go for walks but needs a high fenced-in yard so she can run around to burn off energy! She's like a little deer and  can jump 5ft straight up.

SCOOTER HAS A NEW HOME
This sweet little guy was rescued from a busy street in New Plymouth on 2/3/12 and his owners never seemed to be looking for him.  He's young, approx 8-12 months old and full of energy.  He's approx 15lbs, very affectionate and very social with other dogs. He's learning his manners and we are working on crate training at the moment. It's obvious that where ever he came from didn't have any time for him! Scooter is neutered and UTD with his vaccinations.

MISSY HAS A NEW HOME!
Missy was left behind in a local trailer park when her owners took off.  She was turned into Fruitland Police on 4/12/12 and we are now attempting to find her a new home.
Missy is an adult female Chihuahua and is just a little sweetie. She rides well in a car and seems to get along with other dogs. She has a very loving and calm temperament and would do well with an older person/couple.

MOLLY HAS A NEW HOME!
Molly was rescued from a busy street in New Plymouth and her owners have never come forward to claim her. She was found running with Scooter (we think he's one of her pups) on 2/3/12.
She's an adult, possibly a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell mixed breed, knows her name and is house broken. Molly has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations. She is very affectionate and would like nothing better than to be sitting with you watching TV! Molly will need a secure fenced in yard as she is a very capable (and at times determined) escape artist!

Blaize was adopted from a local shelter only a week prior and her new owner could keep her (her landlord will not allow dogs) so she surrendered Blaize to us on 8/11/12.

Blaize was spayed and micro chipped and is UTD on her vaccinations. She is a delightful little girl, only 9 months old! She gets along great with most other dogs, all humans especially kids, and loves to play in the water!

PEANUT HAS FOUND A HOME
Peanut was found abandoned at a home in Fruitland and was taken in by the owner, however he could not keep her. We picked her up on 10/12/12.

Peanut is about a year old little female Chihuahua and is simply delightful. She gets along well with other dogs, doesn't bark much, and would make a wonderful companion for seniors.  Due to her small frame, a home with small children would not be safe for her.  She does like children, however, and is friendly and playful with all humans. She knows how to use a doggie door and is housebroken. She also gets along well with most other dogs.

Mikka was observed in Fruitland in the same area for a month before we received the call to pick her up. on 10/12/12.

Mikka is approximately 1-3 yrs old and looks most like a cross between a  Husky/Sheperd/Rottweiler? however her exact breeds are unknown.  Mikka is loving and very friendly and gets along well with most other dogs.  She loves the company of humans and seems to get along with children. She appears to be housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door.

SALLY HAS FOUND A HOME
Sally originally came to us after being hit by a car on Hwy 95 near GlenWay, Fruitland, on 3/12/12. After being treated by our vet, she was given a clean bill of health. It was also determined that she was pregnant and went on to deliver 9 healthy pups here at the rescue!

On 9/23/12, Sally was adopted by the Julian family of Kuna. Congratulations














OZZIE HAS A NEW HOME
Ozzie was found on the highway in Ontario on 9/18/12 cowering on the side of the road with Lillie.

Ozzie is approx 1-3 yrs old and is a male Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixed breed.

Ozzie is a sweet little guy and very affectionate. He knows his name and responds to commands very well. He is housebroken and is very personable. He seems to get along well with other dogs too.

BERT & ERNIE HAVE FOUND A LOVING HOME
Bert and Ernie were abandoned at a remote ranch on 10/30/12 in Payette County and we think they may be father and son.
Bert is approximately 1-3 yrs old and Ernie is approximately     8 months to a year old. They are gorgeous black and tan little Dachshunds.  They are both sweet and affectionate little guys, very animated and comical.

BOOTS HAS A HOME!
Boots is approx 7 months old and appears to be Shepherd/Heeler mixed breed and from the looks of his paws, he should be a large dog!  He has been neutered, wormed, UTD on his vaccinations including rabies.

Boots was abandoned in Fruitland around 7/1/12 and really prefers the company of humans, however he seems to get along well with other dogs. He would make a great companion dog if you already have a dog that needs a playful buddy!

ROXIE HAS A NEW HOME
Roxie was found running on a busy highway in Payette County.  The folks that found her tried to find her owners, without success, so we picked her up on 11/14/12.

Roxie looks like a cross between a Corgi and Jack Russell, however we think she may have some Basenji in the mix as she doesn't seem to bark! She is approx 1-3 yrs old and seems to be timid around other dogs until she gets to know them.

AFTER A YEAR, MICAH FINALLY HAS A NEW HOME
Micah had been hiding in a field and running irrigation ditches for a couple of weeks and would not get 50 ft near a human.  He was finally coaxed to a nearby barn by a concerned neighbor and we picked him up on 1/22/12.
Micah is a male Chihuahua, approx 11 lbs and is very friendly and affectionate when he gets to know you and seems to get along with other dogs. Micah has been neutered and brought UTD with his vaccinations.

SNICKERS HAS A NEW MOM TO SPOIL HER!
Snickers was born here at the rescue on October 27th and is one little ball of energy!

HE IS APPROX 2 - 4 YRS OLD AND LOOKS LIKE A SPRINGER SPANIEL, MAYBE A MIXED BREED. HE'S A BIG BOY AND IS SHY BUT VERY AFFECTIONATE.

NUGGET HAS A PERSON OF HIS VERY OWN!
Nugget was found wandering around in the area of Sand Hollow near the Payette/Canyon County lines. He was so happy here at the rescue to be inside and warm and to have other dogs to play with.

Congratulations to Anna Phipps of Fruitland (and the entire Phipps family) for adopting Nugget on 1/28/13.  From the look on his face, he couldn't be happier!  Thank you so much Phipps family for giving Nugget a home and family of his very own!
 
ZOEY HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME
Zoey was found out in the snow wandering around a rural home in Fruitland on 1/28/13.  She was very thin and her ears and fur were full of stickers. We took her in and cleaned her up, had her spayed and brought UTD on her vaccinations.  While having her spayed, it was determined that she was pregnant and unfortunately her pregnancy had to be  terminated. She was so thin and had no outward indications that she was pregnant.

Congratulations to Linda Hart and Ernie Apodoca of Payette for adopting this sweet girl on 3/8/13.  We think this is a match made in heaven! Happy times to all of you and thank you so much!

Rascal was found abandoned in the Walmart Parking lot on 051513. She was found hiding under a car and the car owner brought her to us.

QUEENIE WILL BE ONE SPOILED LITTLE GIRL!

Queenie was found abandoned on the BLM near the end of Elmore along with another dog on 3/26/13 by a hunter who caught both of them and brought them home. These wonderful folks found a home for the other dog and called us to take Queenie when a home couldn't be found for her.  We had Queenie spayed and brought UTD on her vaccinations prior to being adopted.

TINKER HAS FOUND A NEW HOME!

Tinker was found abandoned at a small farm in Fruitland in Sept, 2012. The farm's owner kept her for a few weeks while trying to find her owner. When his attempts failed, he called us on 10/12/12. Tinker was in great shape and learned alot while with us. She also was spayed and brought UTD on her vaccinations prior to being adopted.

MICKEY HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER FAMILY

Mickey was found abandoned in a field in Fruitland along with another dog in February of this year.

During his stay here at the rescue, he showed us just how loving, affectionate, and comical he could be. He was neutered and brought up to date on his vaccinations, and tolerated his baths!

Congratulations to Steve and Karen Nakamura of Weiser for adopting Mickey on July 4th and giving him the home he so desperately deserved.  Thank you Nakamura family.
 
LILLIE HAS HER FOREVER HOME

Lillie was found in Ontario running in the streets and was picked up by a doggie good Samaritan and brought to our rescue.

LIllie is a small to medium sized dog approx 2 years old. She looks to be a cross between a Dachshund and German Shepard and is the sweetest little girl you've ever seen.

Congratulations to Patrick and Joanne Holly of New Plymouth for waiting 4 long months to be able to take Lillie home with them on 04/19/13. They wanted to put up a fence in their backyard so Lillie would be safe. Thank you so much for loving this little girl so much and making her part of your family.
 
MOLLY'S PUPPIES HAVE ALL BEEN ADOPTED!
Molly was found with six 3 day old puppies by the Fruitland Police Dept during a welfare check where the owner was found deceased. The puppies were cared for by Officer Tim Leonard until they were six weeks old and then brought to our rescue so we could find homes for them.
