Adopting a Rescue Dog Front CoverThis free book guides you through the first seven days of Adopting a Shelter Dog. With seven simple lessons, the book helps you ease the transition from shelter life to home life for you and your pup. You can download your copy here.
Please help us find forever homes for these deserving rescue dogs. We do not foster out any of our dogs; they stay with us until they are adopted ... no matter how long it takes!

Please be a responsible pet owner and think about what is in the best interest for your animals.
Please don't abandon them hoping someone will take them in.  Shelters and rescues can only house a limited number of animals and most of us are continually at critical capacities as more and more animals are being turned out every day to fend for themselves.  Some will be hit by cars, some will die from predators, some will be shot, and some will simply starve to death.  Please give your animals every chance for survival and help us find them a deserving new home !  Those animals that survive sometimes need veterinary attention which creates a financial crisis for most rescues and shelters.
Give your local humane shelter or rescue a call.    We're here to help!

PEARL (MAMA) NEEDS A VERY SPECIAL HOME
Pearl (Mama) was found abandoned on BLM land on 1/25/12 where she gave birth to 6 pups; only 2 pups survived. Pearl finds it a bit hard to trust humans, however exhibits a definite desire to be near humans and other dogs. She has never exhibited any type of aggressive behaviour and is very mellow and gentle around humans and other dogs, especially smaller dogs.
If you have the time and patience to give to this sweet girl, we have no doubt that she has the potential to become a loving family member. We have indicated     "Special Need" only because we feel she will need a loving and patient adopter that will give her the positive reinforcement she will need to overcome her trust issues. Prior to being adopted Pearl will be spayed and brought current on vaccinations.

CROSBY IS LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME
Crosby was found running on the highway on the east side of New Plymouth on 2/6/13 and was almost hit by a passing car. I picked him up and brought him to the rescue.

He is a neutered adult male Terrier/Lab mixed breed approximately 2+ yrs old. Crosby is very playful and loves to play fetch. He gets along with most other dogs and loves people! He will need a tall fenced in yard and someone to teach him manners. He already knows his basic commands and is very eager to please. He is also UTD on his vaccinations.

If you'd like to meet Crosby, please give us a call.

Barkley is a small mixed breed dog, approx. 1-2 yrs old, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He is a very affectionate little guy that loves human touch, even though he is a bit shy at first. He gets along well with most other dogs and will need his new family to be a bit patient with him while building his trust.

If you would like to meet Barkley, please give us a call.
